Let Your Light Shine: A Night That Reflects Who We Are
In January, our community gathered at the Lake Pavilion for the 3rd Annual Let Your Light Shine Special Education Prom — and it was nothing short of extraordinary.
Hosted by RE/MAX Success through our nonprofit arm, Success Charities, this event was created with one simple mission: to provide individuals with special needs a prom night filled with dignity, joy, and belonging.
This year, more than 100 participants walked the red carpet.
They were welcomed with cheers.
They danced under the lights.
They were celebrated exactly as they are.
Local coverage from the The San Luis Obispo Tribune and KSBY highlighted what we already know — this isn’t just an event. It’s a movement of inclusion across San Luis Obispo County.
But here’s what matters most:
This night doesn’t happen without community.
It happens because local businesses sponsor it.
Because volunteers give their time.
Because families trust us with something deeply personal.
Because our agents, staff, and supporters believe real estate is about more than transactions — it’s about impact.
From music and décor to professional photos and a packed dance floor, every detail was made possible by sponsors and community partners who stepped up and said, “We’re in.”
